WHO WE ARE

 

Ground Up Collective is a registered  non-profit organisation based in Cape Town, South Africa. Established in 2023, we work with vulnerable communities to break the cycles of violence and gender based violence in particular.  

 

OUR MISSION

 

To prevent violence and gender based violence in particular, by building spaces for healing, growth and transformation.

OUR FOCUS

 

Addressing the drivers of violence, gender based violence and inequality at the individual, community and societal levels. We believe that by working at all three levels, we can heal, empower and transform ourselves, our relationships, our communities and our society.

 

OUR WORK

 

• Supporting survivors of injustice and violence through healing-centred interventions

• Implementing prevention programmes with at-risk groups, particularly children, women, youth, and vulnerable groups.

• Building the capacities of grass root organisations and community groups to deliver trauma infromed thereapeutic interventions.
